Individual Enrolment – Epilepsy: An Introduction to Understanding and Managing Epilepsy
No matter what industry a person works in if they have a duty of care or responsibility for a person living with epilepsy then this introduction eLearning module will enable them to develop the underpinning knowledge required to provide appropriate supports in the workplace, while also developing a better understanding of the impacts of living with epilepsy on the individual.
Where the individual living with epilepsy has been prescribed emergency medication training in the administration of emergency medication will also be required.

Organisational Enrolment – Epilepsy: An Introduction to Understanding and Managing Epilepsy
Where a person has a duty of care or responsibility for an individual living with epilepsy this introduction eLearning module will enable them to develop the knowledge required to provide appropriate supports in the workplace, while also developing a better understanding of their peer, client or patient and the impacts of living with epilepsy on the individual.
Where the individual living with epilepsy has been prescribed emergency medication staff will also require training in the administration of emergency medication.

Epilepsy: Administration of Emergency Medication Program (Theory & Practical)
The Administration of Emergency Medication program will provide participants with the person specific skills and knowledge they require to administer emergency medication for the treatment of seizures in the community. Participants will learn how to administer emergency medication in accordance with an individuals Emergency Medication Management Plan.

In Part 2 of the Administration of Emergency Medication course participants will learn about the individual persons epilepsy plans and the person’s specific emergency medication needs. Epilepsy Australia – Epilepsy Smart Schools Program
Once you have completed the 3 steps to become a recognised Epilepsy Smart School, you can apply for your certificate of recognition. You will complete this in the learning management system, and then be able to print your certificate.
Step 1 – You have a current Epilepsy Management Plan and where required, Emergency Medication Management Plan for students with epilepsy enrolled at your school
Step 2 – Your staff with a duty of care have completed epilepsy specific training to that plan
Step 3 – You have undertaken an epilepsy awareness activity – such as Purple Day at your school.
